2019 has been a phenomenal year for Zweihander Grim & Perilous RPG. As the brand has grown, we’ve extended ourselves into a number of new channels. Key among these channels is the Grim & Perilous Library: a place where creators (who we call Librarians) can create their own Zweihander content – and make money with it – on DriveThruRPG.
Similar to the DM Guild, the Grim & Perilous Library has grown to 91 submissions over the past year. Creators have released over 29 adventures, campaign settings, a host of monsters, play aids, solo play expansions, free art, layout templates, campaign and more in native English, Spanish and Polish languages. We believe that the Grim & Perilous Library is important, and we want to further distinguish it and ourselves differently than other publishers with community content programs at DriveThruRPG.
Starting in January, we are going to do a couple things. First, we want to encourage our Librarians to make more content for the Grim & Perilous Library, while attracting more talent to the pool. We will be adjusting all Librarian percentages from 50% to 60%. This means more money in your pocket!
We will also be opening up print-on-demand options for creators. This is is a program we will roll out slowly, handpicking creators to help pilot the program with starting in February. Once the details are finalized, we will make another announcement about how the print-on-demand option will work, its administrator and release InDesign templates that will be ready-made for the Grim & Perilous Library print-on-demand requirements.
We are excited for 2020, and have a lot more planned for the Grim & Perilous Library later in the year. For now, please hold all questions by email, and direct your questions to our Discord channel in the #creators-chat
